    Arnie Sair

    Head of Global Quality and Food Safety
    Bunge

    Arnie Sair serves as the Head of Global Quality & Food Safety for Bunge, the world’s leader in oilseed processing and a leading producer and supplier of plant-based oils, fats, specialty ingredients (lecithins, tocopherols, etc.) and proteins, as well as corn and wheat milled products. Arnie joined Bunge in 2018 and brings 20+ years of quality, food safety and regulatory compliance expertise to the company. In his role, Arnie leads a team of professionals focused on building upon Bunge’s Quality & Food Safety culture, mitigating risks to the business, and enabling growth opportunities that deliver safe and high-quality products to meet each customer’s needs.

    Before joining Bunge, Arnie spent five years as Head of Quality and Regulatory Operations with Signature Brands, the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of decorating and confectionary products. Prior to that, Arnie spent 12 years in Quality & Regulatory Operations leadership positions with General Mills, Inc., including experience with milled grains, boxed and frozen meals, and dry cereals.

    Arnie received a Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition from the University of Illinois, a Master’s in Food Science from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in Food Science from North Carolina State University for his work studying molecular methods for the detection of foodborne viruses.  

    Arnie serves on the Institute of Shortening and Edible Oils Technical Committee and the National Oilseed Processors Association Food/Feed Safety & Quality Advisory Group. Arnie has presented at many food industry association conferences and enjoys collaborating and sharing best practices with other Quality & Food Safety professionals.

    Throughout his professional career, Arnie has always strived to be an influential leader who cultivates a culture that facilitates the development of high-performing teams, fosters positive customer and consumer relations, and develops external vendor partnerships that drive business results.
