Greg has over 18 years of experience in enterprise software, focused on multi-tenant cloud-based technologies.  Greg joined Veeva in 2013 and was a founding member of the CP division.  Over the past 10+ years at Veeva, Greg was responsible for building some of Veeva's most strategic global client relationships.

Before Veeva, Greg held various leadership positions at Salesforce.com and Skura Corporation and has a unique ability to build successful long-term client partnerships.

Leveraging over 30 years of executive and business development experience, Ed serves as Vice President of Strategy for the Consumer Products division at Veeva Systems. Ed leads a team of strategists who transform customer insight into innovative solutions that empower consumer goods and food & beverage companies to deliver products that delight consumers around the world.

Ed leverages a wealth of software industry experience, having driven growth strategies at Salesforce, Adobe, IBM and BMC software. Most recently Ed held executive leadership roles at vertical SaaS companies in the Oil & Gas and HomeCare markets. Ed is now returning to Veeva Systems where he was a founding member of the Consumer Products division at Veeva Systems.

As Vice President of Business Development, Bruce is responsible for driving customer success through helping our consumer products customers bring trusted products to market faster.

Bruce has a passion for sharing new ideas and turning them into tangible value. Prior to joining Veeva, Bruce developed and managed partnerships between SC Johnson's IT and global new product development, marketing, and sales leadership teams for the purpose of strategy and roadmap development, process and technology implementation, and service management.

Prior to S.C. Johnson, Bruce served as a member of Accenture's consumer goods and services North America leadership team where he was accountable for developing and delivering global client initiatives, leading domain offerings and partnerships, and was a frequent speaker at Accenture's consumer innovation center.

Global Director of Professional Services

As Veeva's Global Director of Professional Services, Katy is responsible for customer success with pre-sales, implementation, and post-implementation services. Her team guides customers on implementation projects to ensure long-term success with the CP Vault applications. Prior to her current role, Katy led Services Engagement for the CP North America team and worked with prospective customers to scope implementation projects.

Before joining Veeva, Katy worked for two Series B technology startups in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Her roles at those startups varied from sales and account management to implementation and operations. Katy's experience in project management started at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where she worked on logistics, real estate development, and acquisition projects.

As Vice President of Product Management for Consumer Products, Steve is responsible for the development and execution of the strategic roadmap for Veeva’s cloud based quality, regulatory and claims solutions for the consumer goods, food and beverage, cosmetic and chemicals industries.. His role involves close collaboration with our strategy team and our customers to translate complex market and customer needs into actionable plans, and the building and mentoring of a team of dynamic Product Managers.

With a robust background that includes a Computer Science degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and significant leadership roles across diverse sectors such as banking, insurance, and technology, Steve brings a wealth of experience to Veeva. His journey from a developer at TD Bank to a pivotal figure in product management highlights his deep understanding of technical challenges and customer-centric solution development.

Steve's vision for Veeva's Consumer Products division is to continue driving innovation, customer success, and market leadership, making an indelible impact on the industry.

Don is a strategic, internationally respected, and results-proven executive who brings 26 years of experience leading innovative, award-winning marketing, brand, and communication programs at top B2B and B2C companies in enterprise technology, energy, and professional services industries.

Before joining Veeva, Don led executive marketing and content at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He also served as vice president and executive partner at Gartner, where he helped build and scale its advisory business supporting CMOs on marketing, organizational, and digital business strategies.

Don has also held leadership positions at Royal Dutch Shell as vice president of brand and communication strategy. At SAP, Don was vice president of global communications, where he led SAP’s influencer programs, inclusive of university alliances, customer communities, corporate social responsibility, analyst relations, and partner communications. Don was inducted into the PR News Hall of Fame in 2009.

Head of Customer Success Manangement

As Head of Customer Success, Sophia is the team’s resident quality subject matter expert and is responsible for developing thought leadership content, industry influence strategies, and sales and marketing collateral to drive brand awareness and product adoption. Sophia brings to the team over 10 years of direct quality experience in regulated industries.

She began her career with the FDA working in CBER’s vaccine lot release program and later moved to the FDA’s office of regulatory affairs as a regulatory microbiologist. Additionally, Sophia has managed CAPA, complaints, audit, and deviation programs in the medical device industry.

Sophia has a master of science in bioscience in regulatory affairs from Johns Hopkins University and is an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor.

Alex Paris

General Manager, Asia

As General Manager, Consumer Products, Asia, Alex Paris is responsible for the strategic growth, direction, and customer success in the region.

Alex has over 25 years of experience in Enterprise software and has helped many customers digitally transform their business with high-quality, innovative solutions. He also has 18 years of senior leadership experience across Asia Pacific, including ten years at Veeva leading and building the Commercial Life Sciences business.

Prior to working at Veeva, Alex was the Big Data and Master Data Management Growth Market Unit Leader in IBM's Software Group. Alex came to IBM as part of the acquisition of Initiate Systems, a leading Master Data Management solution provider. Alex's role as the VP, Asia Pacific at Initiate saw him successfully build the business in the region from $0 to $15 million annual turnover in a 5 year period.

Prior to Initiate, Alex held a number of executive roles with the Content Management pioneer Vignette. Alex holds a B.A. with Joint Honor's in Politics and Philosophy from University of Wales, Swansea.

Andrew has more than 20 years’ experience in R&D and marketing within the chemical, biotechnology and consumer goods industries. He has held senior roles at Syngenta, Solvay, Zymergen, and The Clorox Company. He is an expert in product and business development, innovation and partnerships.

Andrew has a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Southampton, England.

Geert Van Kempen

Head of Food & Beverage, Strategy

Geert joined Veeva Systems in 2021 and is currently, as Head of Food & Beverage Strategy, the market owner of this industry.

After receiving his PhD in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, he joined Unilever R&D in 1998. Over 23 years at Unilever, he developed experience in Foods, R&D, Innovation, Food Safety, Quality and Quality systems.

Geert has spent most of his career working for Unilever’s Spreads Division, developing expertise in oils & fats as well as product & processing technologies. He published his work in peer-reviewed publications and holds several patents.

From 2011-2014, Geert led the Spreads R&D group for Africa & Asia, based in South Africa. In 2015, he joined Unilever’s global Foods Quality group, during which he led the development of several GMPs, and supported Engineering in various factory design projects. From 2017, Geert became responsible for various of Unilever’s quality systems, including supplier and manufacturing quality systems, and led Unilever’s global digital quality transformation project, introducing Veeva QualityOne.

David Maher is Head of Strategy for Veeva’s Consumer Products business in Europe. He leads a team of six strategy directors with 130 years of experience working for industry leaders like Unilever, Coca-Cola, Dior, Solvay, Novozymes and BASF. Together they partner with Veeva customers to help them digitally transform their operations and become leaders in product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

David's background is in management consulting where he has over 8 years of digital transformation experience with companies like Deloitte Consulting, Novozymes, and now Veeva Systems. His passion is how consumer product and specialty ingredient companies can leverage digital platforms and data to advance consumer trust, drive better business outcomes, and stay ahead of their competition.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an International Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He also has a Master of Science in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School where he specialized in regulatory strategy and the role of multinational corporations in transnational governance. He is a regular speaker at industry events and conferences focused on digital transformation of the consumer product value chain. His articles have been published in Handelsblatt, CHEManager International, and others.

As Director of Strategy, Regulatory & Claims at Veeva, John is responsible for overall strategic direction for the Veeva Claims application. This includes product roadmap prioritization, industry thought leadership, and strategies and tactics to drive awareness and interest within targeted verticals. John acts as the subject matter expert around advertising and product claims management and works closely with the sales and services teams on new and existing customer accounts.

John has over 20 years of experience in senior marketing and strategy roles across a variety of industries, including consumer products, healthcare, and technology. As associate director of marketing at The Clorox Company, John worked extensively in regulated categories, and led teams responsible for brand strategy and marketing, innovation, and channel marketing.

John holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from Harvard University.

Jacques Mourrain, PhD

Vice President of Quality Regulatory & Compliance

Jacques Mourrain is Vice President of Quality, Regulatory & Compliance at Veeva – bringing 20 years of experience in regulated industries and deep knowledge of software development best practices, validation principles, and quality systems. He began his career developing control system applications for pharmaceutical freeze-drying, followed by a tenure as director of validation at Fluor Daniel. In this role, he was responsible for multiple quality projects – including the qualification of clean utilities, process equipment, process automation, and enterprise information systems.

In 2000, he joined Genentech, where he led multiple initiatives in software quality assurance. In 2002, he founded the company’s GxP computer system compliance function – a group responsible for IT compliance across the regulated landscape (GxPs) – and drove key compliance projects, such as 21CFR Part 11 remediation and Oliver Wight Class A process optimization.

An established thought leader in the area of computer systems compliance, validation, and auditing, Jacques has presented at industry conferences including DIA, ISPE, and PDA. He has published on a range of topics spanning compliance auditing, change control, cost-of-quality, and computer systems validation.
